30 minute consultations

Most veterinary clinics will give you 10-15 minutes of their vets time to meet and greet you, ask about the problem, examine your pet, give you some medication and get you out of the door.

We just don't think that's enough.

So a few years ago we decided to go for the full half hour.

We then have time to say hello to your pet and examine them properly and time to take a thorough history, so we're clear about exactly what the full story is. We can then discuss with you what the options are for any tests that maybe required and the treatment plans that may be necessary. And then finally send you on your way, hopefully better informed about your pet's health.

Each pet that walks in through our door is unique, and it takes time to find out all the little details that can make a world of difference when it comes to getting their treatment right.

It means we get to practice good medicine, without you and your pets being rushed.

(And we don't charge any more than most of our neighbours, so you get very good value for money, too.)

You might also notice that we don't give many injections. It's not that we don't have the syringes, it's that oral medicines as pills or liquids are often almost as quick to be absorbed as ones given by injection. And that way your pet doesn't have to go through the whole feeling of 'when is he going to stab me?' every time they come in to see us.

Less fear, Less drama. We think it's better that way.

Emergency Care

If you need emergency veterinary care outside of these hours, call our 24 hour emergency number 020 7730 9102 where you will find a veterinary surgeon and nurse available to answer your questions and examine and treat your pet should that be necessary.

The Emergency clinic is at 55 Elizabeth Street SW1W 9PP

We want your pets to feel at ease when they visit our clinic so we take the time to make them feel at home. We are happy for social visits at any time...

Puppy and kitten health checks are particularly important when you have a new arrival. We believe it is important to take time to discuss feeding, parasite control, hygiene, behaviour, training, vaccination and exercise needs right from the start.

We actively promote protection from infectious diseases, initially by vaccination but then recommend annual blood testing to assess whether your pet is still protected or needs any booster vaccines

Older patients often have special medical and nutritional needs to take into account the inevitable effects of aging.

Blood and urine tests are often required to assess current health and to monitor medication for long-term illnesses. We are fully equipped to process blood and urine samples in-house and to check blood pressures, ECGs, take X rays, carry out ultrasound scans and measure intra-ocular pressures as they may be required
